By using the MailDefender service ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these terms at any time; continued use constitutes acceptance of changes.

2. Description of Service

MailDefender provides a free email security analysis service. Users forward suspicious emails to our analysis address, and we return a threat assessment using AI-powered analysis. The Service also includes:

  • Phishing campaign detection and tracking
  • Brand impersonation monitoring and alerting
  • Enterprise threat intelligence reports

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Submit emails containing illegal content
  • Attempt to overwhelm the Service with excessive submissions
  • Use the Service to facilitate phishing or other malicious activities
  • Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the analysis algorithms
  • Impersonate another person or entity when using the Service

4. Email Content

By forwarding an email to MailDefender, you represent that you have the right to share that email content for analysis purposes. You understand that email content will be processed by AI systems to generate threat assessments.

Do not forward emails containing sensitive personal data (medical records, financial account numbers, passwords) unless they are part of the suspicious email you want analyzed.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

  • The analysis will detect all phishing threats
  • The analysis will be 100% accurate
  • The Service will be available without interruption

MailDefender is a supplementary security tool and should not be your sole means of email security. Always exercise caution with suspicious emails regardless of our analysis results.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MailDefender shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to damages from reliance on analysis results.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, analysis engine, and brand, are the intellectual property of MailDefender. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without prior written consent.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time, for any reason, without notice. This includes blocking submissions from specific email addresses that violate these terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of France.
